If you haven’t seen it already, this weekend will be your last chance to see a terrific show at Guardino Gallery. My friend, Diane Archer, is showing her mixed media work and fine jewelry along with Alisa Looney’s engaging sculptures. It’s a wonderful combination.
Diane, who was recently profiled on Oregon Art Beat, explores the emotional and physical aspects of place, using paper and metal maps, drawings and found objects. She often uses topographical maps stained with dyes she makes from native plants. These same maps are used in her signature line of fine jewelry. Take a few minutes for yourself this weekend and treat yourself to this wonderful show.
